BWETMWEEEEEENOAAAAAA!

If you hear us yelling that through the hallways, it means that our proposal to NOAA's Bay Watershed Education and Training (B-Wet) Program to create a Meaningful Watershed Education Experience (MWEE) in Maine was funded!

It's the first of (we hope) many joint
LabVenture!-Vital Signs proposals aimed at creating a middle grades science learning continuum for Maine.

Goals:
1. Create new
LabVenture! visit content and pre- and post-visit activities to integrate this experience at GMRI into school curriculum
2. Complete the activities and tools critical to
Vital Signs
3. Connect
LabVenture! and Vital Signs so that Maine middle school learners have meaningful watershed education experiences

Primary objectives:
1. Integrate NOAA watershed activities and science resources into
LabVenture!
2. Integrate NOAA watershed activities and science resources into
Vital Signs
3. Join the resulting watershed-connected programs into a cohesive 5-8 grade science program that allows students to deepen their mastery of core science and watershed concepts
4. Disseminate
VitalVenture materials to all Maine middle school schools and online as an Open Education Resource
