The rapid spread of Japanese knotweed is causing huge problems across the UK. This timelapse footage reveals the superweed grew more than 1m-tall (3ft) in just three weeks. Scientists want to introduce a plant-eating predator from Japan to the UK to control the plant. Knotweed article

Ok, maybe the plant eating predator from Japan will control the invasive superweed, but what will control the super-superweed eater? Seems like a dangerous road to me.

I agree with Carrie here what happens if the plant-eater because an invasive itself and starts eating local plants as well???
